August 3, Wednesday, we have a better weather. The weather is sunny, just a very good condition for trekking, because recently, the weather is rainy. In eight o’clock, we have met and arrange our itinerary in a small cafeteria in Bulbul Beach (around 1 kilometer from downtown). I met Randy (The potter also my friend’s friend), and Hendra (Randy friends).
I introduced myself to both of them. We have satay as breakfast. After breakfast, we start our journey by using motorcycles. We reached the last small cafeteria in the Village in 09:30, and then we left our vehicles there, because the rest trip is the main trip, trekking till reach the Sampuran Waterfall.
Randy takes the lead and become our potter, because he has experience trekking to Sampuran. The field is so challenging, because there is no sign of direction or anything which helps us avoid lost in the jungle. We’ve through paddies and so many trees. Finally, after around one hour, we reach the top of the hill. But, this is not the end of the trekking. We just reach one-three of our trekking trip. We proceed our trekking through a small-shallow river which has so much big-slippery stones.
For the record, I’ve slipped for three times because careless and to underestimate the terrain. The route of our trekking, in my opinion, extremely enough and not recommended for any amateur trekker. But, the entire load and all the difficult during the trekking are up in the air after we reach the Waterfall. The waterfall is so beautiful, stunning, amazing and so natural.
This is the latest of my trip to reveal the hidden paradise in Toba. Sampuran Waterfall is very recommended place for medium-high trekking trip. Moreover, it’s not only a trekker, it’s also offer the beauty of natural waterfall, which so many people ever try to reach this spot. See you guys in another episode.0
